Madre de Carlos Godoy Echegoyen, militante activo de la Juventud Socialista y luego incorporado al Partido. Murió a causa de la tortura en el verano de 1985.
Berta Echegoyen fue una activa integrante de las Agrupaciones de Familiares que lucharon incansablemente por la recuperación de la democracia y la búsqueda de la verdad y la justicia en el país.
