Asegurando que venía a filmar un documental sobre el Festival de Viña y la vida espiritual del país, Bradbury llegó a Chile en 1985 con un equipo que durante tres meses indagó acerca de la situación del país bajo el régimen de Augusto Pinochet, la pobreza, la cesantía y ollas comunes, el descontento y protestas populares, los atropellos a los derechos fundamentales, además de recoger voces de defensores del régimen.
